Love doing things for the first time. Being part of the live streaming in the chess world was bit shaky, didn't know what to expect especially when sitting next to you is experienced FIDE Master. I was just hoping he would not test me from theory of openings or middle games showing me the board what to play next. Luckily, we discussed the topic I knew well - chess databases.
The 5th Annual Chess Slovak Open
The 5th Annual Chess Slovak Open kicked off last Saturday with incredible community of 250 talented chess players from around the globe, including 9 Grandmasters, coaches, and arbiters.
The world of chess is so much more than just moves on a board; it's a rich strategy game with stories that connect us across continents, cultures, religions, genders or beliefs.
FM Tomas Danada interviewed our CEO, Alexander Horvath about the Opening Master chess databases, this rich history, usage and future development of this area. The interview / livestreaming happened during the Day 1 after grand opening.
Keep an eye out for some International Masters who could very well ascend to the rank of Grandmasters right here at the event!
Big thanks to the organizers and all the participants who made this event a memorable journey. Looking forward to more exciting opportunities to connect and learn from fellow chess players and masters!
