  • What is Unstoppable Chess Academy and why Opening Master joins their chess coaching methods? +

    The Unstoppable Chess Academy is for anyone who is interested in mastering the art of chess. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, the Academy offers a wide range of resources and tools that can help you improve your game and develop your skills.The Academy is designed for anyone who is serious about becoming a chess master. It offers comprehensive training programs, instructional videos, and other resources that can help you learn the fundamentals of the game, as well as more advanced tactics and strategies.

  • Can I become a student of the Unstoppable Chess Academy without purchase of the Opening Master Chess databases? +

    Yes, you can. But you won't enjoy the discounts offered by Opening Master. While normal lesson costs 30 EUR per 1 class hour, with Opening Master you will pay only 20 EUR per hour. If you purchase 10 hours with advance payment you enjoy even more savings and pay 180 EUR (10% discount).   • What prices do you ask for your services? +

    We offer reasonable prices of subscriptions for one year. Within this year you receive monthly updates. Our plans start at 39 EUR for OM CORR which is suitable for correspondence chess players and has 2,2 million chess games. The OM OTB for 59 EUR offers over=the=board official FIDE games and has more than 9.5 million chess games. Our flagship program OM GOLEM is the biggest of all with more than 30 million chess games. The Unstoppable Chess Academy in connection with Opening Master charges 20 EUR / class hour.

  • What is your refund policy? +

    You are purchasing digital download product therefore there is no refund policy as such. Please read carefully which database is suitable for you and which chess database program you need to open it. (commercial Chessbase or free SCID). We offer both extensions. In extreme cases we are however willing to listen and help you to exchange the product or refund. We decide case by case.

  • What payments methods do your accept? +

    At the moment we accept payments using VISA, MASTER CARD, AMEX and PAYPAL. The gateway is provided by PayPal services which are secure and reliable. We've been using PayPal for more than 15 years and never had any issue nor our customers never complained of misconduct. For traditional gateway we use STRIPE technology which is also used by giants like Amazon, AliExpress, Apple, Etsy, Walmart, Target. We respect the privacy the most and do not collect any financial information. For INDIAN customers, we are accepting local debit cards via RazorPay with favorable prices.

  • What delivery options do you offer? +

    All chess database products are download only. After payment is made, you receive a link with download instructions. The databases are stored on a cloud vendor which you can later synchronize for updates. In extreme cases, we can send DVDs or USB keys with copied data however we do not recommend this solution as the data is too big and updates are provided monthly.

  • What support options are available? +

We are also on Facebook so you can drop us a note there. The bottom right corner has chat option if you use Whatsapp you can directly chat we us.

  • What additional services are available? +

    Our chess databases are updated regularly. We create specialized reports and openings which we publish from time to time. We sponsor local federations and chess clubs with tournament prizes or also partner with the ICCF organization.

  • Who are your partners? +

    Opening Master is privately held company. The origin is dated to year 2004 however the creator of the chess database have been playing chess for more than 30 years and are internationally recognized masters. We partner with several country chess federations and chess clubs. We are global chess database partner of ICCF organization, main chess database for GCHESS and partnering with Unstoppable Chess Academy to provide chess lectures and coaching.

  • What languages do you offer support in? +

    Our support is mainly in English. You can also communicate with us in Slovak, Russian, German, French.

  • What job opportunities are available? +

    The help is always needed. If you are a good chess player (doesn't need to be an international master) and you have analytical thinking and know-how to operate Chess Base, Chess Assistant, and SCID, drop us a note. We want you on our team. You can earn good money for data mining and analysis. We are also looking for passionate chess coaches from USA and India

  • Do your offer discounts? +

    Yes, we do offer multiple licenses for chess federations, schools, and chess clubs. Please contact us separately if you would like a mass license. We also provide coupons for social media referrals. Our discounts are always on Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas and Special Summer sales.

  • I don't have PayPal ID can I still pay? +

    Yes, you may. You don't need to have a PayPal user id to pay with VISA or MASTER cards. Just follow on written instructions on the PayPal site and press ''next'' when asking for your user id. Along with the payment, you will receive a free PayPal user id. The registration nor payment cost any extra fees for you. In extreme cases, we accept also direct bank wire transfers or you can send money by TransferWise. Please consult before.

  • Why is Opening Master commercial paid service, aren't the game free to distribute without any copyrights claims? +

    The chess game as such does not have copyright holders, therefore it belongs to everybody. The game is considered an event and people cannot claim copyrights for events that happened in the past (just like a tennis match). However the collection as such in form of the database, the quantitative methods, statistical measurements, and time spent on the creation of this database - and this is copyrighted. It is a paid service because of the associated costs while producing this database.

  • What is de-duplication? +

    The de-duplication is searching for twins in the information database. The double (twin) is known where one same body of the game has more records of header, name, tournament, etc...This is due to several parties recording the same game but recording it with different headers (e.g. one will write ''Kasparov'' and the other will write ''G.Kasparov''). The presence of doubles in the database distorts statistical outputs and the valuation of positions. The perfect database has zero doubles which are very difficult when organizing 29 million games. However Opening Master team can proudly say, the database is de-duplicated maximum power.
