I was curious and went out just for the sake of anthropological research. And I asked in the APPLE store: Do you have any item on Black Friday?" The answer (NOT} surprised me. "No, but you can purchase 50 dollar gift card. Thanks
No discount for you
APPLE as probably only few didn't jump on the social pressure to give give give for free or with negative margins. Why should they? This is how it looked like inside the store during the Black Friday and without any special sales, Black Friday deals or 50% discount. Did you hope for Apple MacBook Pro to be sold for $500? Or new Apple Watch for $100? I guess not.
And the other sales?
Macy's, Dicks, Dillars, Walmart, Target, yes you see the items on sales, just like you see them all year long. But guess what, none of those item you like. Did you grab new UGGs with special discount? I must disappoint you, the special sales items are those which you don't like or don't need. It's all about the show. The bigger the better. Have you seen Macy's doing the KPOP Golden show in New York? This is the true spirit during and Thanksgiving.
