Dear chess players. Just a quick note. We attended the annual ICCF congress held in Australia this year. The venue for this event was at ParkRoyal Hotel in Parramatta abour 20 km from Sydney. It took place 11-18 October 2014. Our core member Jan Helbich received awards for Slovakian chess players and met ICCF members and other members from other federations.
The timetable was very tight. The discussions were healthy and all members discussed also possibility how chess databases can help players learning and educating based on statistical approach. Many already claimed to be using Opening Master as perfect source for updated and clean data others were confused with ChessBase databases. All in all, the trip was great and we are happy to be back.
