Hello, I am a new user today, so I hope I'm not doing something stupid!
I downloaded several databases and also WinRAR. Some databases are working ok with my back level of ChessBase, some are not. I can't see a pattern.
A. OM 1.22 parts 1-7 RAR - WinRAR extracted all parts ok to give OM 1.22.cbv but ChessBase says it can't access 1.22.cbh although I can see this file in the folder.
B. OM 2500 Tree RAR - WinRAR extracted single part ok, and ChessBase is ok too.
C. OM 2500 CBV - ChessBase can open this ok.
D. OM Corr DB 1.09 CBV - ChessBase says it can't access 1.09.cbh although I can see this file in the folder.
Any ideas please?

new versions (January 2010) have been uploaded. Try now, there should be no problem

I downloaded OM 1.23 Full tonight and opened with WinRAR. This produced OM 1.23.cbv, but when I used CB8 to access this archive, it gave the same error as before - cannot access database OM 1.23.cbh. Sorry!

Hi iccf8,
your problem is maybe :
1/ your ISP provider, the download not going right
2/ Corrupted CB8 version.
We just downloaded half hour ago OM 1.23 by parts from the web and it is in good condition and works ok. So error could be on your side. If you use slow ISP link you will problems downloading OM. 123 FULL.

Sorry for the delay - I have been editing and publishing a magazine.
Tonight I downloaded OM 1.23 parts 1-7 and opened with WinRAR. This produced OM 1.23.cbv.
I reinstalled CB8 in case of corruption, then tried to open OM 1.23.cbv, but it gave the same error as before - cannot access database OM 1.23.cbh.
I think I will buy a newer version of CB!
